Svaadish opens a new restaurant in Hamburg’s city center – a gourmet experience!
There will be a new gastronomic highlight in downtown Hamburg from September 3, 2025 (https://www.genussguide-hamburg.com/news/neueroeffnung-svaadish-innenstadt/): The Svaadish restaurant is opening on Willy-Brandt-Straße, thus continuing the success story of its Indian cuisine. The restaurant chain, which has been active in Hamburg for five years, already has locations in Winterhude, Eimsbüttel and Hoheluft-West. Owner Simranjit Singh Muhar describes the opening as a milestone and wants to present high-quality Indian cuisine as an experience to Hamburg residents.
The concept of Svaadish, which was born from the passion of its founder Ravneet Muhar, is based on “Indian Regional Cuisine”. Infused with the authentic flavors of Delhi to Mumbai, the dishes are designed to be shared and combined. The menu includes a variety of traditional dishes and impresses with numerous vegan and vegetarian options. Guests can choose from curries, naan bread and tandoori dishes, among other things. A visit to the new Svaadish promises not only to pamper the palate, but also to offer a convivial experience.
Diversity of Indian cuisine
More and more people are discovering the important advantages of Indian cuisine, which is particularly attractive to vegans. According to a report on vegan-taste-week.de (https://vegan-taste-week.de/von-dal-bis-curry-die-kunst-der-indischen-kueche), Indian cuisine is intensely spiced, rich in plant-based dishes and offers numerous health benefits. Many traditional recipes, particularly from regions such as Gujarat and Rajasthan, are often vegan, which, combined with the philosophy of ahimsa – non-violence in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism – inspires a plant-based diet.
The challenge of cooking Indian dishes lies not only in choosing the right ingredients, but also in the art of roasting spices correctly and grinding them fresh. Using onions, ginger and garlic as a base and experimenting with side dishes such as chapati or naan ensure an authentic taste experience. Svaadish wants to give guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Indian cuisine.
A warm and modern atmosphere
All Svaadish restaurants offer a warm, cozy and modern atmosphere that invites you to linger. Further information can already be found on the company's website (https://www.svaadish.de/), including details about the design of the new location, which will open at Willy-Brandt-Straße 69 in the old town of Hamburg.
With this exciting new opening, Svaadish is setting another accent in Hamburg's gastronomy scene and invites everyone to discover the tastes of India and enjoy the diversity of plant-based cuisine. On September 3rd the time has finally come – and so all foodies in Hamburg say: “Off to Svaadish!”
