Verena Landkammer: 40 years full of heart in the St. Georg kindergarten!
Today the Hamburg community celebrates the remarkable contribution of two dedicated educators who have shaped the lives and development of children for four decades. Verena Landkammer from the Catholic kindergarten St. Georg and Erika Weidlich from the St. Marien kindergarten are not only experienced specialists, but also true life companions for generations of little explorers.
At the St. Georg kindergarten, Verena Landkammer has witnessed impressive change over the last 40 years. With her collaboration, the kindergarten has expanded from initially three groups to six groups. This development was a special period of time for Landkammer, during which she accompanied countless children on their journey through life. She experienced four different pastors and just as many kindergarten leaders. Starting with Ms. Zipf, Mr. Müller and Ms. Helfrich, right up to the current management, Ms. Petri, Landkammer has always been a constant figure who supports the children as an important reference person. Her colleagues appreciate her friendly and balanced nature as well as her willingness to help and creativity. Parents have a lot of gratitude for the loving care they give to their offspring, and many of them remember that their own children are now looked after in Ms. Landkammer's kindergarten. The pastoral care unit and numerous families also thanked them warmly for their loyal service. Leimenblog.de reports about this special occasion.
A celebratory reception for Erika Weidlich
In another part of Hamburg, an equally festive reception was organized for Erika Weidlich on Monday morning at the St. Marien Kindergarten. As the longest-serving employee in the parish, she was also honored for her 40th anniversary of service. Children from the kindergarten surprised Weidlich with a colorful trellis and the “blue group” sang a specially rehearsed song in honor of their long-time teacher. Ms. Weidlich's emotion was clear to see as she handed out sweets to the cheering children.
Originally working as a career changer in childcare, Weidlich continued her training and deepened her knowledge in U-3 care from 2010 to 2012. Her path led her to kindergarten 40 years ago under the direction of Sister Bonaventura. Weidlich is open to the changes in the kindergarten landscape and brings a breath of fresh air into the education of children. More about these celebrations and the importance of educators is shared on the website of the kindergarten from Füchteorf: Kiga-Füchteorf reports.
Both anniversaries show how important committed educators are to our society. Not only do you do a great job, but you also actively contribute to ensuring that children can enter the world strong and confident. Through their many years of experience and dedication, they leave their mark on the lives of many families in Hamburg.
