The question remains whether they will be able to initiate a turnaround and avert the impending decline. “We have to concentrate on our game and fight against Werder’s line-up,” said Brand.

The past month was much more successful for Werder, as they won four of their last five competitive games. Their overall record against Altona also speaks for itself: they won four of a total of five matches. Nevertheless, Brand warns against underestimating the opponent, after all, Regionalliga North games can often be unpredictable.
