Autumn is back in Hamburg, and with it begins one of the city's most popular traditions: the lantern parades. From November 14th, hundreds of colorful lanterns illuminate the dark streets and awaken the anticipation of the upcoming weeks of Advent, in keeping with the tradition that not only serves to brighten the evenings, but also to keep evil spirits away. These events offer a celebration for the whole family and are ideal for welcoming the cold season together. People are invited to bring their own glowing lanterns and dress warmly to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere. The parades and their details can be found on Radio Hamburg, among others.

– Verpflegung: Speisen und Getränke sind vorhanden. - Winterdom
– Datum: 19. November 2025, 17:30 Uhr
– Startpunkt: Feldstraße auf dem Hamburger DOM
– Begleitung: Musik und übergroße, fantasievolle Leuchtfiguren
– Aktion: Ab 16 Uhr erhalten die ersten 200 Kinder bis 8 Jahre eine Laterne mit Leuchtstab (solange der Vorrat reicht). - Alsterdorf
– Datum: 30. November 2025, ab 16 Uhr (Umzug startet um 17:30 Uhr)
– Treffpunkt: Maienweg 119, 22297 Hamburg (FF Alsterdorf)
– Organisatoren: Freiwillige Feuerwehr, Jugendfeuerwehr, Spielmannszug Marschacht
– Verpflegung: Glühwein, Punsch, Waffeln, Grillwürstchen, Stockbrot am Feuer.
The lantern parades are a tradition that not only makes children's eyes light up.
