Horse sports community St. Georg: 100 years of passion celebrated!

The St. Georg Kevelaer equestrian sports community is celebrating a very special anniversary this year: On June 28, the big anniversary event for the 100th anniversary of the association in the Josef Schotten Schützenhalle took place. The festive atmosphere was rounded off by moving the standards of the guest clubs, including the RV from Bredow Wetten and RV St. Georg Winnekendonk. The hunting horn players of the PSG, which welcomed the guests, set special musical accents.

The first chairman Nadine Ruelfs welcomed numerous guests of honor, including the Mayor Dr. Dominik Pichler and Pastor Sebastian Frye. The tournament not only offered the opportunity to observe top sporting performance, but also many activities for the young and old visitors. Another highlight of the anniversary celebrations was the idea of ​​a new chronicle that documents the history of the club and numerous unpublished photos. This chronicle can be ordered in bookstores in Kevelaer and by email for 18 euros, and offers every horse fan a unique insight into the tradition and commitment of the equestrian community.
