The Hafencity in Hamburg has once again become a little more lively, because... Real I.S. AG has gained three new tenants for the popular Sumatrakontor. In total, the newly rented area is an impressive 1,650 square meters. This not only makes the building but also the entire neighborhood a bit more attractive.
The new tenants are well positioned: YER Germany, a personnel service provider, is renting 810 square meters. There is also a specialist from the venture capital sector, who has not yet been named, who is moving into 750 square meters. Kaspar Schmauser, who uses 100 square meters as a catering provider, also takes care of the culinary well-being. This mixture ensures varied use and brings a breath of fresh air to the Hafencity.
Top location with connections
The Sumatrakontor not only impresses with its new tenants, but also with its central location in Hafencity. The Property, which was completed in 2010, accommodates over 30,000 square meters of gross floor area, divided into office and retail space as well as 86 residential units and around 450 parking spaces. The retail areas on the ground floor are particularly practical and serve as local amenities for residents and users of the offices.
Another plus is the excellent connection to local public transport, which means that the nearby Überseequartier subway station significantly improves accessibility for employees and customers. The surrounding area also offers leisure opportunities such as the Westfield Center and Grasbrook Park.

Franz Krewel, board member of Real I.S. AG, highlights the geographical location as particularly advantageous. “There is a lot of potential in such a dynamic environment,” he says with conviction. The combination of working, living and shopping in Hafencity will probably continue to be very popular, not least thanks to the innovative companies that are settling here.
The developments in the Sumatrakontor are a good example of the positive economic dynamics in Hamburg, also thanks to the wise decisions of Real I.S., which acquired the building for an individual mandate in 2018.
With these new rental agreements, Sumatrakontor shows itself to be a lively location that not only meets the current needs of residents and companies, but is also positioned for the future. The Hafencity remains a hotspot to keep an eye on!
