Hundreds of thousands celebrate the Schlagermove 2025 in Hamburg-St. Pauli!

On June 29, 2025, Hamburg will again be the venue for the popular hit move. Every year the event attracts around 400,000 visitors to the city, who get lost together in the colorful celebrations. The parade is expected at 3 p.m. on the Heiligengeistfeld and takes place on a route that leads through central squares and streets of St. Pauli. Around 50 festively decorated trucks will be integrated into the caravan, encouraging all participants to celebrate and dance.

The route stretches from Heiligengeistfeld via Millerntorplatz, the Landungsbrücken and the well-known Reeperbahn before returning to Heiligengeistfeld. The trucks will be set up from 1 p.m., giving the celebrants plenty of time to prepare for the big parade. The Schlagermove has been attracting thousands of fans every year since 1997, who don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience, as NDR reports.

Party until late into the night

After the move, the mood will be no less exuberant. The aftermove parties start at 5:30 p.m. in two large party tents on the Heiligengeistfeld. DJ Vossi as well as a Wolfgang Petry double and Norman Langen will provide the musical entertainment here. However, entry is only possible with tickets, which is why it is advisable to secure them in advance.

There are 500 toilet units available for visitors along the route. However, it is recommended to use public toilets and bars to reduce crowds. To ensure mutual safety, around 300 paramedics and a security service, which also monitors the playgrounds in the area, will be on duty.

Important information about arrival

Anyone planning to take part in the Schlagermove should be prepared for certain restrictions. Due to construction work, the A7 will be completely closed between Hamburg-Stellingen and Hamburg-Heimfeld over the weekend - for a full 55 hours. It is all the more recommended to travel by public transport in order to get to the festival site stress-free.

Speaking of events: On the same day, just a few hours before the Schlagermove, there will be a concert by Ed Sheeran at the Volksparkstadion, which should also attract a high number of visitors to the city.

However, the Schlagermove is not the only event that Hamburg has to offer this summer. From July 4th to 6th, the people of Hamburg will celebrate the Tibarg Festival, a street festival with all sorts of attractions for young and old, before the next highlight, Pride Week, begins. This also promises a festive atmosphere and large crowds.

Further information about the events, road closures and toilet overviews can be found on the official event websites in order to best enjoy the celebrations in Hamburg.

As the Schlagermove showed once again last year, Hamburg thrives on such vibrant festivals that bring people together. So pack your good mood, it's going to be a special kind of holiday!
