Big children's clothing flea market on June 14th in St. Petrus!

There will be a very special event in the local St. Petrus Church on June 14, 2025 that will delight parents and grandparents in the region: the flea market “all about children”. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., bargain hunters have the opportunity to browse around 50 stalls offering all sorts of children's things. You can find clothing, games, books, bicycles and strollers, everything a child's heart desires. süderelbe24.de reports that there will be no shortage of food: coffee, cake, sausages and drinks are available so that visitors can stroll through the market refreshed.

If you would like to take part with a stand yourself, you have until June 8, 2025 to register. There is a stand fee of 15 euros for sellers and only 12 euros for members of the support association. Alternatively, you can take part for a reduced fee of 7 euros (5 euros for members) and a home-baked cake. Further information is available when registering at the email address fleamarkt-petrus-heimfeld@web.de. The stand fee should be paid by June 10, 2025, although no-shows after June 12 will not be reimbursed, according to petrus-heimfeld.de.

The process of the flea market

Booth set-up begins at 12:30 p.m., but impatient vendors should wait until then. The market takes place in all weathers and simply moves inside the church if it rains. Care is taken to ensure that indoor places are allocated in the order in which registrations are received. So if you want a central indoor location, you should register quickly. Sales time is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., dismantling must only take place after 5 p.m.

But this flea market is not the only thing on the program of the St. Petrus community. A men's breakfast will take place on June 21st and will focus on the topic of nutrition. All men who would like to exchange experiences and eat well are warmly invited. Breakfast takes place in the church from 10 a.m. and each participant can bring their own food. From 12:30 p.m. there will be a barbecue - sausages, bread and potato salad are on the menu. [kirche-hamburg.de].

The St. Peter community has a number of other events in the pipeline. On June 29th, for example, visitors spend a relaxing evening with the trombone choir during a serenade. In July there will be a confirmation, an open air service with a baptismal ceremony and in September another children's clothing flea market. The communal lunch every Sunday, where volunteer amateur cooks prepare simple dishes, is also a wonderful opportunity to get involved in community life.

St. Peter's Church is a place for togetherness and sociability. Whether shopping for used children's things, having breakfast together or going to a concert, community is very important here. For further information and so as not to miss the next events, it is worth taking a look at the municipality's websites at petrus-heimfeld.de and süderelbe24.de.
