Gospel Train & Friends: Get your tickets for exciting annual concerts!

Next weekend it will be really loud again in the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Heimfeld. Harburg Current reports that the Gospel Train & Friends choir organizes its annual concerts under the rousing motto “Get up - get out”. On Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, from 7 p.m., the hall will be the venue for a very special Christmas party.

Who is at the start? The stage is accompanied by a nine-piece band, and the moderation team is led by none other than Luca Büttner, known from Radio Hamburg and RSH. After over 25 years in the music business, Gospel Train remains an impressive example of musical diversity and vocal power. The choir director Peter Schuldt emphasizes the importance of interaction with the audience - after all, it's about creating an unforgettable atmosphere together.

Artistic roots and community

The Gospel Train is not just a choir, but a living community project. Harburg Culture Day explains that the internationally renowned youth choir of the Goethe School Harburg always surprises with new talents that bring a breath of fresh air into the group. While many singers leave the choir after graduating from high school or go abroad for a year, the remaining and new members continue the tradition of putting the joy of singing at the forefront.

Every year, the choir's years of experience and commitment create emotional and powerful performances. Gospel songs, which often use “call & response” and frequent repetitions, offer this special connection to the audience. Well-known pieces such as “Oh Happy Day” and “Soon and Very Soon” will also be in the repertoire. This style of music has its roots in the spirituals that emerged during slavery in America.
