a place of many options
The Helmuth Hübener district school, in which the Hamburg School is housed, is located in Benzenbergweg 2 in Hamburg. The modern building is well connected and the next subway station, Barmbek, is only a stone's throw away. The school will offer children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years of age and attach great importance to the care of the Polish language and culture, supplemented by working with the Polish consulate in Hamburg. The teaching staff consists of qualified teachers who master both Polish and German, which enables bilingual lessons, in which also subjects such as mathematics and natural sciences can be learned in Polish, such as stuntzschule.de informs .
The school not only promotes the academic career of its students: inside, but also organizes cultural events such as concerts and theater performances in order to keep Polish culture alive. A look at the reviews shows that the school is very popular with the parents, with an average Google rating of 5/5, which indicates excellent teaching and a friendly atmosphere.
The Polish community in Germany
The Polish community has increasingly gained visibility in Germany in recent years. According to bpb.de , it is now the second largest group of immigrants in the country. Historically grown connections between Germany and Poland are characterized by migration in the 18th and 19th Century when many Poles, especially from the Ruhr area, became Germans. However, the integration was and is shaped by challenges, not least by the political and social framework that migrants: often put in large hurdles inside.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, many Poles were able to consolidate their stay in Germany. Efforts for the rights and visibility of the Polish community have been continued for years, and the support of Polish cultural associations and the granting of lessons in language of origin are positive developments that strengthen the identity of the second generation of migrants: inside. The 1991 German-Polish friendship contract was an important step, even if the call for a full minority status is still ongoing.
With the new location of the Hamburg Polish School, another building block is set to promote German-Polish relationships and to strengthen the culture and identity of Polish-born fellow citizens: inside in Hamburg. The future looks promising!
