New episodes of the night patrol: Experience Hamburg's police up close!

On January 8, 2025, the ARD documentary series "Night Strip" brings a fresh air to the living room of the Hamburgers with five new episodes. The audience can look forward to exciting insights into the varied and often challenging work of police officers in the port city. NDR documented the work of ten civil servants who work in various areas of application, including the David Guard in St. Pauli, the water protection police and the protective police in Hamm and Bergedorf.

The new episodes offer a variety of topics and operations that range from everyday disturbances of rest to serious offenses such as robbery and prostitution fraud. [Police Hamburg] (https://www.polizei.hamburg/nachtstreife- 1005554) emphasizes that the audience will experience both the critical application situations and the personal stories of the emergency services. Each assignment is supplemented by interviews in which the officials report and explain how they deal with the challenges of their work.

The teams in focus

This season for the first time also brings the water protection police into public perception. Under the command of Sarah Prüsmann (43) and Danny Koch (48), the work on the water is staged in an exciting way. The three teams of the protective police, consisting of Lena Priebusch (40) and Christian Werner Dorn (36) from the Davidwache, as well as Caren Loose (27) and Dennis Wolff (35) from Bergedorf, as well as Kathrin Mosor (29) and Sebastian Fuchs (39) from Hamburg-Hamm, are also an important part of the documentation.

There is also special attention to the crime service, represented by Katrin Kernig (41) and Michael Walther (42), which are often confronted with acute cases. With more than 1.9 million inhabitants, Hamburg has to do extensive police work, which is authentically documented in the documentary series. The experiences that the officials have are both exciting and challenging and reflects the reality with which they are faced every day.
