Elias Saad is the new star at FC Augsburg – perfect change!

FC Augsburg has secured a promising new signing: Elias Saad, 25 years old and with German-Tunisian roots, is moving from FC St. Pauli to FCA. The dynamic offensive player has signed a contract until June 30, 2029. This opens up new perspectives for the club and brings a breath of fresh air into the team, which puts happy faces on the faces of both those in charge and the fans. Unfortunately, the transfer fee paid for this transfer was not disclosed, but FC Augsburg managing director Michael Ströll is enthusiastic about Saad's potential.

In the last season 2023/24, Saad made 18 appearances in which he scored three goals and provided two assists, despite a break due to injury. His strengths lie in his dribbling strength, speed and his ability to move towards the goal. He can act flexibly on both wings and as a hanging striker, which makes him a very valuable player for FCA. Saad will start the season with shirt number 26 and accept the challenge of further developing himself both athletically and personally.

Departures and further transfers

While Saad is a promising newcomer, another player is leaving FCA: Patric Pfeiffer is moving to SV Darmstadt. Such changes are part of the constant movement in the Bundesliga, where numerous transfers are underway. Transfer market has shown the competition's current transfer balance, which includes both new arrivals and departures.

A look at the transfer overview shows an interesting dynamic. Currently, 325 additions have been registered so far, with a total market value of 107.80 million euros. The average transfer expenditure amounts to 2,435,923 euros per player. On the other hand, 310 departures were recorded, generating revenue of 701,059,999 euros. The negative overall balance of -90,615,001 euros shows that many clubs are willing to invest in talent, even if this sometimes comes at the expense of their own coffers.

So the transfer window is still in full swing. The teams in the Bundesliga are required to act wisely and prepare their squads optimally for the challenges of the coming season.
