Triumph at the Pentecost tournament: Three chickens and a rooster” win!

At the RFV Ratheim Pentecost tournament, which was recently held, there were exciting competitions and impressive performances. In an exciting Class A team competition, the “Three Chickens and a Rooster” team took to the big stage. The team, consisting of three talented riders and one rider, was able to secure the Ratheim challenge cup.

The actors of the winning team are Letizia Schiller from RC St. Günhoven with her horse Cassinus de Revel, Antonia Dewes from RSG Krefeld with Bac Baby Guinness, Lola Stranzenbach from RFV Lobberich with Valon Cr and Fabian Küppers from RC St. Georg Günhoven on Toulouse. Against the strong competition from three teams from RFV Ratheim, which bear the names Willi Schreinemacher one, two and four, the “chickens” prevailed and proved that teamwork and skill in equestrian sport go hand in hand.

Successes in the style jumping competition

But points and recognition were not only fought for in the team competition. The 38th style jumping competition also took place, with 31 participants taking on the challenge at a height of 80 cm. The judges Heinz Hofschröer and Anja Lübbert had their hands full getting the best out of the riders and their noble horses.

The performances were consistently impressive and testify to the high quality of equestrian sport in Germany. This discipline is very popular in this country - over 80% of the equestrian athletes surveyed stated that they ride in their free time. The English disciplines such as dressage, jumping and eventing are particularly popular. The tradition of equestrian sport also has a long history in Germany: until the middle of the 20th century, it was reserved exclusively for officers. Nowadays, riders of all ages and backgrounds take part, making the sport even more diverse and exciting.

The RFV Ratheim and its Whitsun tournament are not only a showcase for talent and top sporting achievements, but also an example of how equestrian sport in Germany is constantly growing and attracting new generations of riders.
