Buxtehude will host the ADAC Cyclassics on August 17, 2025 - a UCI WorldTour cycling race over 207 km through Lower Saxony and Hamburg.

For the first time, this exciting event will be part of the prestigious UCI World Tour is held in Lower Saxony. A signal for the cycling scene, because it is one of the most important individual races in Germany!
The starting signal will sound at 12:30 p.m. and 161 riders will set off on the 207 kilometer route. This leads through the beautiful Hamburg metropolitan region, with 170 kilometers running directly through Hamburg. The route offers a lot of excitement for both the professionals and the spectators. Before the official start, cycling lovers can experience the team presentation on the town hall square in the old town of Buxtehude.
A race with tradition
TheUCI World Tour, which has been organized by the UCI since 2011, includes a wide range of one-day and stage races. This year Buxtehude has the unique opportunity to be part of this traditional series. The event is not only very important for cycling, but is also the first start outside of Hamburg in more than a decade - the race previously took place in Kiel.
With such a long route that runs through the Stade district and across the Harburg district, Buxtehude is synonymous with top sporting achievements and exciting competitions.
