As part of the indoor hockey Bundesliga, the Crefelder HTC achieved an impressive win against Uhlenhorst Mülheim on December 21, 2025 to end the year. With a clear 10:4 (5:0) on their own field, the team secured second place in the table, but only missed the top position by one goal. Both Mülheim and Crefeld have 12 points, but Mülheim has the better goal difference on their side, as rp-online.de reports.
The game started with a bang: Timo Kossol gave Krefeld the lead early on by safely converting a penalty corner. Konstantin Hayner, the CHTC goalkeeper, shone with a strong performance, while Phillip Jansen and Julius Dittmar increased the score to 3-0 in the second half of the first half. Christian von Ehren and Anton Boomes moved Crefeld up to 5-0 before half-time and underlined the dominant performance of the hosts, who illustrated the intensity of the game with four time penalties.
A game with many twists
After the break, Mülheim tried to turn things around. Lukas Windfeder scored the first goal for the guests and reduced the score to 1:5. But Crefeld didn't let himself be disturbed. A highlight of the game was that Mülheim played without a goalkeeper in the last quarter in order to set an offensive tone. This risky maneuver did not produce the desired results, but the team showed fighting spirit until the end. After the game, CHTC coach Ronan Gormley expressed himself extremely satisfied with his team's performance and particularly praised the strong defensive work, which contributed significantly to this clear victory.
