The popular “flea market of the gardens” will take place on July 13, 2025 in Hamburg-Langenhorn. This event, which was held once a year, not only attracts residents, but also visitors from other parts of the city and regions. The flea market is known for its colorful offer: over 200 gardens present a wealth of junk, antique, clothing, books, plants and handmade products. These are private stands from the members of the settlement, who lovingly call themselves "Börner". External providers are not approved, which gives the market a special charm.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Fritz-Schumacher settlement, which was originally built in 1920, offers a picturesque framework with its listed architecture. This settlement is the largest closed row and double house settlement of the 1920s in Hamburg and extends over around 100 hectares. Alternatively, visitors can also use Park+Ride parking spaces that are available in the area, such as the P+R parking garage on the Langenhorn Markt or at Kiwittsmoor, about a kilometer away.
