New board elected: St. Pauli's amateur football on the upswing!

St Pauli, Deutschland - On June 23, 2025, FC St. Pauli had some exciting developments that affect both the club management and sports. As part of the election of the amateur board, the existing team was largely confirmed in its offices.

The chairman Jörn Sturm and his deputy Verena Gedler were re -elected for another term. Kerstin Schomburg, who takes care of the topic of diversity, and Vanessa Metz, responsible for sustainability, are also allowed to participate on the board. New on the board is Sven Knigge, who replaces Sebastian Dudek as a board member for finance.

The next challenge is already waiting on Sunday, June 29th, against Heider SV, in which the team wants to show what it can do again.

a setback for the 1st rugby men

For the 1st Rugby men of FC St. Pauli, however, there were less pleasant news. The association had to accept the relegation from the Rugby Bundesliga North/East to the 2nd Rugby Bundesliga. There was no relegation game against Germania List because FC St. Pauli and other teams such as TSV Victoria Linden and RC Leipzig did not compete. The Rugby Bundesliga is the highest division in German Rugby and currently comprises 16 teams. St. Pauli has experienced a constant ascent and descent between the leagues in recent years.

Admission to the event is free and a prior registration is not necessary.
