Traffic chaos in Lübeck: A1, B75 and Co. badly affected today!
Today, June 15, 2025, the traffic situation in the Lübeck region is tense. Like the Lübeck News reported, many important roads are affected, including the A1, A20 and A226 motorways as well as the B75, B207 and B104 federal highways. The A1 in particular, which connects Hamburg with the picturesque coastal towns, is very busy this weekend, which leads to frequent traffic jams, especially at peak tourist times.
A particularly helpful tool for monitoring the traffic situation is the ADAC traffic jam monitor, which regularly provides current information on construction sites, accidents and delays. It is also working with TomTom to generate traffic jam warnings from GPS data from millions of mobile phones. This data is updated every five minutes and thus offers a precise overview of the traffic situation in Lübeck and the surrounding area.
Current traffic jams and closures
According to information from staumelder-karte.de the traffic situation is as follows:
For the K18 there is a closure between Wesloer Brücke and Walderseestrasse, which is 0.9 km long, but was also reported here without any loss of time.
Construction sites and traffic measures
But it's not just closures that cause delays. Construction sites are also a constant companion in Lübeck's traffic chaos. A construction site between Krog and Karkbrede is registered on the K8 with an estimated time loss of 2 minutes. Further construction sites on the L92 between Krummesseer Landstrasse and Lübeck – St. Jürgen and on the K5 between A1 and Beethovenstrasse also cause minor time losses.
Traffic has picked up speed in numerous areas throughout Schleswig-Holstein. The B5 at the Denmark – Heide border crossing is open again, as is the A23 between Hamburg and Heide and the B207 between Lübeck and Hamburg-Bergedorf stau.info reported.
The traffic situation is a challenge for commuters and travelers, but many traffic flows are now stable again. Anyone traveling in the region should regularly find out about the latest developments in order to avoid traffic jams and reach their destination safely.
