New offline shop in Dresden's Neustadt: art, creativity and enjoyment!
On November 18, 2025, the new offline shop will open its doors at Königsbrücker Straße 38 in Dresden and will move into the historic building of the former HO department store “Magnet”. This opening promises not only good business for creative minds, but also a platform for local products and services. The innovative concept focuses on craftsmanship and creativity, with a total of over 160 artists from cities such as Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin and Hamburg presenting their unique works. Neustadt ticker reports that the offering ranges from art prints to clothing, jewelry and home accessories.
Managing director Stefanie Zúñiga Chongo is particularly looking forward to the return of the offline shop, which was already temporarily active at Hauptstrasse 42-44 in 2024, where it offered visitors the opportunity to get to know fresh talent and their works. This opportunity was supplemented in the form of workshops and interactive formats that introduced customers to the creative world. At that time, in November 2024, the opening with a DJ, promotions and many other surprises was very popular. On the occasion of the offline market, which took place in December 2024, a variety of DIY projects were offered and presented in colorfully decorated stands.
A space for creativity and community
The new Mika Café, which will be opened by Nico and Sylvia Müller together with the offline shop, is also particularly announced. Here, visitors can look forward to an inviting atmosphere that offers space for enjoyment and creative encounters. The café will be an excellent addition to the offline shop concept and promotes a community where creativity is celebrated.
From January 2026, it is also planned that studios for 3D printing and screen printing will move into the building. This step shows that the location should not only be a place for sales, but also a center for creative development. Yvonne Bonfert, also managing director, emphasizes that her shop does not offer mass-produced goods, but rather the artists' individual, handmade products.
The historic building, which once served as Erich Kästner's home and was empty from 2020 until it reopened, is receiving new impetus through this development. The organizers have put together a comprehensive program of extensive workshops and cultural events that are intended to address many facets of cultural life in Dresden.
The whole thing will be properly celebrated with the opening party on November 18th from 5 p.m. Live DJs and hands-on activities including tattoos for a good cause are on the program, which will attract not only local neighbors but also art lovers far beyond the city limits. So the time seems ripe for a creative comeback in Dresden Neustadt!
