Serious accident in Hamburg: Auto crashes against traffic lights - injured woman!
On Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2025, there were two serious traffic accidents in Hamburg that kept the local population in suspense. An accident in Hammerbrook and another in Schnelsen caused injuries and traffic disruptions.
In the Hammerbrook district, a serious accident occurred around 4 p.m. A vehicle crashed into a traffic light at the Burgstraße/Hammer Landstrasse intersection. The driver, a 24-year-old woman, was injured and immediately had to take to the hospital. So far, nothing is known about the severity of their injuries. The impact was so strong that the entire traffic light system of the intersection was destroyed. The rescue workers partially locked the road, but the Hamburg police gave the all -clear: a traffic regulation by civil servants was not necessary because the intersection is well signposted. Nevertheless, the turning strip remains closed to Hammer Landstrasse, the duration of the cleanup is uncertain. accident with ambulance in Schnelsen
Only a short time later, also around 4 p.m., there was another serious accident in Schnelsen at the intersection of Oldesloer Straße/Frohmestrasse. An ambulance from Schleswig-Holstein, who was traveling with special rights towards the hospital, collided with a different vehicle while driving on a red traffic light. In the ambulance there were a 14-year-old boy and his mother, who luckily remained unharmed. However, a total of five people are reported as injured. Among them are two rescue workers with minor injuries and three inmates of the other car that have suffered through difficult injuries. The condition of an inmate that has a facial jaw fracture and the other who suspects a lower leg fracture is particularly worrying. All seven injuries were transported to surrounding hospitals, while both vehicles were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed. The accident site remained closed until 6:15 p.m., which took about two hours. [mopo.de reports that…] (https://www.mopo.de/hamburg/polizei/grosser-unfall-mit-rettungenwagen- Mehrer-wehrte/)
