Sternstunden Festival 2025: Music, science and fun in Hamburg-Bergedorf!

Things get really exciting again in Hamburg-Bergedorf in July, because the popular Star Hours Festival 2025 is just around the corner! The event will take place on July 18th and 19th, 2025 on the grounds of the historic Hamburg Observatory, a real gem in the middle of a spacious park. This makes the festival not only a feast for the ears, but also a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature.

The festival offers a diverse program with over 30 concerts, lectures and hands-on experiments. On Friday it starts at 4 p.m., while Saturday will start at 2 p.m. There are five stages, both outdoors and in listed buildings, where numerous artists from the choirs and orchestra of the University of Hamburg will perform. The musical spectrum ranges from classical chamber music to Gregorian chants to jazz and electro-pop. Particularly noteworthy this year are:Performances by Anahit Vardanyan, Rocket MenandYousef Kekhia.

Science and fun for all generations

But that's not all! The festival also has an exciting scientific program on offer. There are guided tours of the impressive domed buildings and the opportunity to look through historical telescopes when the weather is good. These additional offers are aimed at all age groups and introduce those interested to the world of astronomy. In addition to the regular lectures on topics such as the history of the universe and modern astrophysics, there is even a special children's program. There, the little explorers can look forward to a children's concert, children's tours of the observatory and an exciting Star Hour rally.

Physical well-being is also taken care of: food trucks and a café on the premises offer a variety of culinary delicacies, including refreshing drinks and snacks. By the way, the ticket prices are more than fair and range from 10 euros online (reduced from 7 euros) and at the box office from 15 euros (reduced from 10 euros).
