Bloody confrontation: 18-year-old shot in front of a shisha bar in Hamburg!

On the night of Sunday, July 13, 2025, an 18-year-old man was injured by gunfire in Hamburg-Bramfeld. The incident happened around 1 a.m. after the young man got off a bus on Werner-Otto-Straße. At the corner of Haldesdorfer Strasse he got into a heated argument with several people, as NDR reports.

Even during the dispute, firefighters who happened to be on their way back from a mission witnessed the escalation. Shortly afterwards the shots were fired. The injured 18-year-old, bleeding profusely, was able to escape to a nearby event location where a high school graduation ceremony was taking place. There he asked for help and the guests immediately called the emergency number. The man was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound in the upper arm, but his life is not in danger, confirms Radio Hamburg.

Large police presence

The police arrived with a large contingent to bring the situation under control. Numerous heavily armed emergency services were deployed and the area was cordoned off over a large area. In this hectic situation, investigators looked for clues and interviewed numerous witnesses. It is currently unclear whether the incident is connected to the nearby shisha bar, which has been the target of multiple attacks. Radio Hamburg reports that after the shots there were reportedly around five people fleeing in the direction of Hegholt.

However, a search involving more than 20 patrol cars resulted in no arrests and the background to the crime remains unclear. Witnesses are asked to contact the police with information on 040/4286-56789.

Crime statistics at a glance
