There will be a big celebration in Eimsbüttel this year! Numerous celebrations and events are planned to mark the district's 750th anniversary. Especially in summer, between June and September, Eimsbüttel turns into a colorful stage that has something to offer for all generations and interests. Eimsbüttel News reports that the planned closing party on Osterstrasse will take place from September 19th to 21st, 2025.

Although the traditional Easter street festival has to be canceled this year because a construction site for district heating thwarted the plans, the anniversary festival will have an even stronger connection to Eimsbüttel. Til Bernstein from Oster Streets e.V. emphasizes that despite the circumstances, everything is in motion to create an unforgettable experience. There has already been a verbal commitment for the special use permit.

A celebration for everyone

The celebrations are designed to be both diverse and inclusive. There are numerous highlights on the program over the course of the summer. In addition to art exhibitions and live painting, there will be historical tours, street art workshops and even a football tournament. Musical entertainment is provided by a colorful program on the summer stage, which is rounded off with an open-air theater and an open-air cinema.
